* Inevitably, we again saw polls that zeroed in on the electorate’s undecided voters just days before Tuesday’s election. How can that be? How can anyone not recently awakened from a comatose state still be undecided? Disgusted? Yes. Disillusioned. Yes. But “undecided?” Or do “undecideds” hold out on their public preference in hopes of being courted by a last-minute focus group?
* What ever happened to “Mischief Night?” Or is that now Nov. 2?
* Now that the campaigns are finally over, perhaps we can put all that over-the-top, divisive “socialism” rhetoric behind us. Unless, of course, a series of nationwide strikes and riots occur over changes in, say, Social Security, even as Interpol warns that more al-Qaida terrorist plots seem imminent. Then we would truly have become France.
