The jury — metaphorically — is still out on what, if any charges, will be brought in the case of Cortnee Brantley, accused of not telling authorities she knew that Dontae Morris was a convicted felon who illegally had a loaded gun on the night two TPD officers were shot and killed. She left the scene where the two officers lay dying, where every life-seeping second mattered, and later exchanged loyalty texts with Morris, the murder suspect. She was hardly helpful.
However this shakes out legally, this much seems evident: It’s too bad conduct unbecoming a human being isn’t a crime.
