Nice to see running back Warrick Dunn returning to the Bucs’ fold. At this stage of his career, he will likely be a “situational” player who can still help the Bucs’ problematic offense.
But what he will definitely do is involve himself in societal situations. He’s a major community asset, including his “Homes for the Holidays” program, whatever his contributions on the field.
Dunn’s return is also a major consolation to a Tampa Bay community that just lost Brad Richards, formerly of the Lightning. These are superior athletes who are even better people — and are uniquely positioned to help those around them.
They are too few in number. The Bucs just brought one home.
