Congratulations Mark Woodard–and congratulations Pinellas County.
The Tampa resident has been named county administrator. He had served as interim administrator for the past four months. Prior to that, Woodard had been director of the Office of Management and Budget and then assistant county administrator.
In his total of 26 years with the county–starting as a budget analyst–Woodard established himself as a bottom-line numbers person, a detail-oriented professional and a collegial sort who worked well with commissioners.
His institutional knowledge and collaborative nature should serve Pinellas–and this region well.
And notice–no mention here of who he’s married to. Mark Woodard is a major Tampa Bay player whose impact is about to be fully felt.
