The late Rep. C.W. “Bill” Young’s legacy is top-heavy with all he did for this region: from MacDill Air Force Base to the University of South Florida. But he will also be remembered as a Washington insider who never succumbed to zero-sum politics by using cable talk shows and Twitter to shout down and demonize the opposition. He didn’t need a PAC to grease his re-election skids. He’s a loss for Congress, not just congressional District 13.
