After much fanfare, the Thomas M. Cooley Law School held its official grand opening recently in Riverview. It’s the first campus outside Michigan for the Grand Rapids-based law school, one of the largest in the nation. Cooley is known for its open admissions and diverse student bodies. Now aspiring, often non-traditional, students from the Tampa Bay region will have additional access to a legal education.
The obviously begged question: Does the world’s most litigious society really need more lawyers?
