Much was made the other day when notorious strip club owner Joe Redner and state Sen. Ronda Storms, the avatar of all things right-wing, agreed on a piece of legislation that passed the House by a 92-23 margin. They are both in favor of a bill that prohibits welfare recipients from using government-issued debit cards in strip clubs or casinos.
Of course they would be. The ideological spectrum can still accommodate opposites on some issues. After all, who wouldn’t be in favor of protecting both families and taxpayer dollars? The only question: How the hell did 23 legislators not see it that way?
