Plaudits to the Tampa Bay Sports Commission for underwriting USF’s NCAA soccer playoff game against New Mexico last Sunday. A free-admission, overflow crowd of 3,600 responded and cheered the nationally ranked Bulls to victory. As a result, USF remains in the hunt for the national championship. No, it doesn’t make up for another fast-start, frustrating-finish football season, but this is turning into a season for the ages for Bulls’ soccer.
