We’ve all heard about the healthcare-transformation niche and economic-synergy scenarios of CAMLS, USF’s downtown Center for Advanced Medical Learning and Simulation. But it’s more than three stories and 90,000 square feet of dazzling technology. It’s also, as it turns out, a potential prime asset for Dale Gordon, the executive director of the Tampa Hillsborough Film and Digital Media Commission.
The commission recently hosted a familiarization tour of the city for location and production managers looking for potential sites for TV-commercial shoots. Apparently the attendees were smitten by CAMLS, envisioning it eclectically doubling as a restaurant, emergency room, college or bank.
