Work, as has been well noted, is now underway on that large, two-block warehouse mural on Adamo Drive between 17th and 19th streets. Colorfully depicting the faces–historic and contemporary–of historic Ybor City, the 350-feet by 35-feet mural should be finished in a couple of months. A byproduct of both community input and in-kind donations, it’s a significant landscape changer for that nondescript stretch that is the southern border of Ybor.
Just one question when work is completed early in the new year. Could overseeing artist Michael Park & Co. start a companion project to do something with those butt-ugly, ambience-assaulting Con Agra silos?
