This just in. According to a Tampa Bay Partnership survey, visitors who were here for the GOP convention left with quite a favorable impression of our area. Among the findings are a number of significant improvements when contrasting pre- and post-visit impressions. Most notable categories: range of cultural activities, quality of air and work/investment environment.
But imagine what that survey might have shown had downtown not looked like a military occupation and had not most delegates–all too light-rail familiar–been confined to what they saw along their hotel-to-Forum bus routes.
