Understandably, the USF basketball team was the subject of massive media attention for its rare involvement in the NCAA Tournament’s “March Madness.”
Meanwhile, another form of collegiate-excitement ritual, one that happens every year at USF, was also occurring. Last Friday was “Match Day”–when USF’s graduating medical students, 112 this year, found out where their residency posting will be. It’s an outdoor–“The envelope, please”– ceremony/celebration held at Skipper’s Smokehouse. More to the point, it’s a pivotal career moment for those who will do societal good and make USF proud.
Congratulations, high fives all around and go, Bulls.
